Job Details
The primary responsibility of this role is analyzing and developing solutions for operational problems. One of the main activities is to break down large quantities of data from several Tesco systems. The other one is to process and model this information in a mathematical form; that is why it is of the utmost importance to have a strong mathematical background and outstanding logical thinking.
Analysts will also be expected to spend some time working within store environment supporting the implementation of change in the business. Analysts deal with many areas of the UK business and to people of all levels, so it is important that they are comfortable presenting to and interacting with more senior employees.
We are looking for analysts with the following skill set:
· High analytical capability
· Wide experience in data mining
· Advanced MS Excel and MS Access
· SQL programming
· Strong Mathematical Modelling
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
. degree level (2:1)
Analysts should work with little supervision and consistently produce accurate and timely results.
The Role
The analyst will be working in a group of highly capable, energetic and driven people. The role can give the analyst the opportunity to learn about Tesco operations, data analysis, mathematical modelling, problem solving, project management, and change management. Whilst the team is spread across many projects, we all support each other and have a strong team identity.
