Our client is a significant player in the fresh produce market as a grower and packer of leafy and other products
They are currently looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated Trainee Agronomist
The purpose of the job role is to effectively support the production teams in product development and improvements in growing.
Educated to degree level in biology, crop production or a related subject
• Have excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with all levels of managers and staff
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work
• Able to work efficiently and accurately with a good eye for detail
• Have good numerical and IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Be flexible and able to adapt themselves and the business to rapidly changing circumstances
It is desirable to have:
• BASIS and FACTS qualifications, although training can be given
