Supported by a world-wide network of resources including state - of - the - art warehousing facilities, bulk fuel installations and real time freight tracking capabilities, our client provides workable resolutions to complex client requirements in the areas of food logistics, catering, retail, aviation, transport and warehousing, camp services and fuel management.

They are currently seeking an Ethics and Compliance Officer to be part of their Group Corporate and Legal Affairs Department based at their Regional Operations Centre in Dubai.

Reporting to the Group Director for Corporate and Legal Affairs, the successful candidate will provide strategic legal support to the Group and Business Unit Directors. The role involves challenging substantive ethics and compliance legal work across all areas of business activities.

Specifically you will ensure the implementation of our clients ethics and compliance policies and procedures.

You will develop and execute compliance training companywide in areas such as: EEO/affirmative action, former government employee, export control, FCPA, TINA, kickback & gratuities etc.

You will set up and monitor the Hotline where company employees report misconduct/violations of law or company policy.

You will conduct investigations to determine whether or not violations have occurred, reporting to senior management the results and recommendations resulting from investigations - including the need to report instances of misconduct to the Government (Mandatory Disclosure rules).

You will ensure corrective actions are taken as necessary as a result of misconduct reports and investigations.

Finally you will conduct periodic internal reviews and arrange regular external reviews so as to assess the effectiveness of our clients ethics and compliance program and will make recommendations for improving the ethics and compliance program.

Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate will be an accomplished Compliance professional with substantial compliance experience.

Ideally you will have both corporate and commercial experience, working with a respected international law firm or multi-national company, or both.

Your practical experience should be supported by a degree in Law/Business Administration or any related subject and ideally with a Professional Compliance qualification.

You will have experience of managing projects and implementing similar programs and will possess solid advisory skills.

Experience in preparing and delivering compliance training to a wide range of staff is highly desirable.

You will have the ability to handle a diverse work load coupled with experience of writing comprehensive reports and gathering and analyzing data and information, together with strong verbal communication, organisational and presentation skills.

You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally some language capabilities in German or Arabic, able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner, work to tight deadlines and pay attention to the detail.

Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be IT / PC literate particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

The basic salary is paid in AED (Dirhams) and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is a bonus earning opportunity which is also paid in AED and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.

In addition you will receive 25 days holiday plus public holidays, medical / health insurance and 1 paid return family economy flight per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client. A Relocation Allowance of USD 4,500 is available. A lap top and mobile phone are provided for company business.
